What our clients say:

"Finding a recruiter who actually cares about the process, not just the placement, is hard. Annabelle went above and beyond at every turn. She's one of the warmest, most considerate people I've worked with. The best agent I've ever had."

Rebecca

Candidate

"I needed someone who could navigate Defence, Public, and Commercial networks to find real solutions, not just push CVs. Annabelle came in as a strategic partner, not a vendor. She understood how AI is reshaping skill requirements in the local market and brought that perspective to every conversation. Rare combination of relationship depth and technical insight. I'd recommend her without hesitation."

Christopher

Employer

"We needed a senior sales hire and couldn't afford to get it wrong. Annabelle started by grilling us on exactly who we were and what we needed, then screened a large pool down to a tight shortlist of people who could all genuinely do the job. She kept us in the loop throughout and made sure we felt part of the process. Recruiting is hard. She made it easy."

John

Employer

"Across several programs over several years, I needed specialist talent for roles that were genuinely hard to fill. Annabelle consistently found candidates with strong team fit, and when placements didn't work out, she stayed responsive and supportive through the transition. Her background across ICT, Defence, and consulting means she understands what good looks like in those spaces. I'd work with her again."

Catherine

Employer / Candidate

"During my job search I was kept in the dark by most recruiters. Annabelle reached out early, kept me informed at every stage, and handled the tricky moments with calm and persistence. I felt like she genuinely wanted the right outcome for me, not just a quick placement. An absolute pleasure to work with."

Got any questions?

We don't start searching when the brief arrives. The relationships are built, the candidates are known, and the search moves fast.

  • How do you find candidates in the cleared space without advertising?

Honestly, it comes down to years of relationship building. We have spent over 15 years working exclusively in this sector, which means we know a lot of the right people already. When a brief comes in, we are reaching out to people we have an existing relationship with, not posting a job ad and hoping for the best.

  • How do you handle sensitive or classified briefs?

Carefully and quietly. We do not advertise roles or put anything in writing that does not need to be. If you cannot share every detail up front, a phone call works just as well. We are used to working with limited information and we know what questions to ask.

  • What clearance levels do you recruit across?

We work across the full range, from Baseline through to Positive Vetting. We understand the requirements and the timelines that come with each level, so we can give you a realistic picture of what to expect from the start.

  • How do you screen candidates before we see them?

Before a candidate reaches your desk, we confirm clearance status, investigate cultural fit, and make sure they are genuinely relevant to your project, not just a keyword match. The shortlist you receive is exactly that, a shortlist, not a stack of CVs to wade through.

  • How quickly can you move?

Faster than most, because we are not waiting for applications to come in. The network is already there. Timelines will always depend on the role and the clearance level required, but we will give you an honest read on what is realistic right from the start.

  • What types of roles do you typically place?

Technology roles within cleared environments. That covers software engineering, AI and data, cyber security, architecture, project and program delivery, and technical leadership. If it sits at the intersection of technology and national security, it is where we work.

  • Do I need to hold an active clearance to register?

Not necessarily. We work with people at different stages. Some have an active clearance, some have one that has lapsed, and some are simply eligible by citizenship. It really depends on the role. We will be straight with you about where you stand.

  • How does the process work if I get in touch?

We start with a conversation. No lengthy forms, no sending your CV off into the unknown. We want to understand your background, your clearance status, and what you are actually looking for. From there we keep you in mind as relevant roles come through.

  • Will my details be shared without my knowledge?

Never. We will always speak to you before putting your name in front of a client. Discretion is genuinely important in this space, and we take that seriously.

  • I am not actively looking but I am open to the right thing. Is it worth registering?

Yes, and honestly that describes most of the people we work with. Just tell us what the right opportunity looks like for you, and we will reach out when something relevant comes up. No pressure and no spam, we promise.

  • What kinds of roles do you usually have available?

Technology roles within Australian government, defence, and intelligence adjacent organisations. Software and systems engineering, AI and data, cyber security, architecture, and delivery leadership. Most roles require some level of clearance or organisational suitability.
